Why become a Freemason?

We are frequently asked – "Why should I become a freemason". Below are a number of answers, identified by our members, as being some of the reasons they joined.

Freemasonry gives me an opportunity to help others, it challenges me and creates greater personal confidence.
I am proud to belong to the oldest non secular organisation in the world.
I appreciate being part of an organisation that has over 7 million members worldwide.
I feel great satisfaction in being part of an organisation that donates over £44 million each year in England and Wales to charities and good causes, it is enjoyable to be part of a local group of like minded people.
I enjoy being part of monthly entertaining meetings and appreciate the standard philosophy of advancement each year within the lodge.

Freemasonry membership is open to everyone over the age of 21years, the organisation enables me to play an active part, whatever my age.
